Have a Coke and a smile: New study links soda to pancreatic cancer
A new study out today reports that individuals who consume two or more sweetened soft drinks have a much higher rate of pancreatic cancer. Mark Pereira of the University of Minnesota, and leader of the research team states, “The high levels of sugar in soft drinks may be increasing the level of insulin in the body, which we think contributes to pancreatic cancer cell growth.”
